PREPARING FOR EXHIBITION

WELLINGTON, July 21

Another effort to stimulate Government activity in developing and advertising the .southern tourist resorts wa» made by several members, when they had the opportunity to-day of discussing the annual report of the Tourist Department. The .special attractions of Stewart Island wore mentioned by AIT De la Pcrrollo, who asked why nothing was being done bo improve communication, which was sadly deficient’ from the viewpoint of tonnsts used to good accommodation. Air Thomson asked for an assurance that the Alilloid Sound accommodation house would bo erected in tuuo ior Ujo coming season.
