SHIEL'S SUBDIVISION
APPROVAL RECOMMENDED The Works Committee of the City Council recommends that the application from Mr B. B. Couston for consent to plan a subdivision of part of the property known as Shiel’s, fronting Forbury road and Surrey street, be approved subject to the following conditions : That the owners provide and dedicate without cost to the council sufficient land for laying off a new street 4Uft wide through the subdivision, and also for widening Surrey street to 33ft from the centre line. _ ■ That the - council obtains the issue of Order in Council permitting the laying , off of the new street at a width of ■ 40ft, and also exempting the street from the provisions of section 117 of “The Public Works Act, 1908.” That the owners construct the roadway and footpaths, concrete mud tanks, storm sewers and foul sewers, to levels fixed by the city engineer and to specifications approved by tlm committee and laid on the taW®.* •
