The meeting of All Nations Lodge was bold on Tuesday and was largely attended. A.D. Bio. G. Thompson presided, and after the opening exercises, welcomed, D.P. Bro. Faulds, who took the chair and welcomed a full muster of the .officers of Linden Lodge, who assumed control of the meeting. It was decided to attend a church parade to the Congregational Church on the occasion of the farewell service of the Rev. W. M. Grant, it was resolved to appoint Dr Bruce Boy as medical officer in place of Dr Borrie, who bad resigned after over twentyfive years’ faithful service, owing to his leaving the district. The Social Committee reported that the fortnightly euchre party was progressing satisfactorily. One candidate was proposed for membership. The usual loyal toasts were honored and replied to, after which-refreshments were served.
Bay Lodge held its usual meeting on Tuesday night, when another large number of members and visitors greeted Arch- Druid Bro. Napier. The lodge has entered a team for the Ross Stewart Shield, and has been fortunate in having secured the services of P.D.P. Bro. Ockwcll as coach for same. Two new members wore proposed by Sister Wilson. The fortnightly quoit competition is in progress, and is causing friendly rivalry among the brethren. The loyal toasts were honored, and Bro. Anderson (Pride of Mornington) and Sister Wilson responded on behalf of the visitors. The lodge held its annual sota'al on Wednesday night, when about sixty couples enjoyed themselves to the music of Messrs Smith and Dagg. Bros. W. B. Ruston and H. Napier made efficient M.C.s. Mr Proctor and Mrs Wootton won the waltzing competition held in connection wdth the social.
The fortnightly meeting of Linden Lodge was held on Tuesday, but owing to the wintry night A.D. Bro. Boardman presided over a sparse attendance of officers and members. Quito a lively interest was taken in the .rules pertaining to next lodge meeting in connection with the progressive euchre and ladita’ &i&ht.
