CAPE TOWN, Jul.r 2.-I. The Prince of Wales, who is visiting Kimberley, inspected a wonderful display of uncut diamonds at the Do Beer Company’s offices and accepted a 121carat stone as a souvenir. He subsequently traversed the underground workings of the Wesselton mine.— Reuter.

Perhaps one of tho most picturesque welcomes was that accorded tho Prince in Durban by a vast assemblage of Indians in Albert Park. Turbanncd and fezzed men, jcwclled-uosed women, and painted babies swarmed enthusiastically around the Royal ear as it entered. Every brown face yelled lustily as the Prince mounted the dais, where, wreathed from head to foot in great garlands of white marigolds, he received addresses.
