£570,000 REQUIRED FOR HOSPITAL BOARDS.
The subsidies to hospital boards under the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act appropriated for 1924-25 totalled £570,000, the actual amount paid being £561,708. It is estimated that an appropriation of £570,000, Hie same as last year, will be required for the current year. The net expenditure of the department from the Consolidated Fund other than subsidy was £36,966 more than that of the previous year.
