STAMP AND DEATH DUTIES
A NEW EXEMPTION. The net revenue collected under the Stamp Duties, Death Duties, and Amusement Tax Acts was £3,240,332. In order to encourage thrift and provision for dependents it is proposed to exempt from death duties the moneys payable under life insurance policies up to £I,OOO.
