The balance in tbe revenue fund account on April 1, 1924, was £249,681. During the year additional sums amounting to £459,180 wore provided, including tbo £152,303 for Customs duties on tyres, and £257,500 represent annual license fees in connection with motor vehicles; a total of £708,831. The expenditure was £127,458, almost wholly on maintenance of highways, leaving a credit balance at March 31, 1925, of £581,373. The net expenditure out of construction fund amounted to £225,454, provided for in terms of the finance Act of 1923.
