The New Zealand Biblo-in-Schools Committee, recognising that the school committees more than any other body represent the parents, is (according to a Press Association message from Wellington) desirous of obtaining the opinions of such committees as to the desirability or otherwise of Mr L. M. Butt's Religions Exercises in Schools Bill becoming law. It lias, accordingly, sent a copy of the Bill to all committees with a request that they take an early vote on the question, and forward tho result to Wellington, to he reported to the House of Representatives, where the Bill is now being considered. , A message from Wellington reports that the postal revenue for tho quarter ended June JO was £350,985, compared with £320,767 a year ago. Tho telegraph revenue amounted to £457,073, against £433,260 for the previous corresponding period. These figures include telephone exchanges, £270,032 this year as compared with £326,767 a year ago.
