R.S.A. AFFAIRS
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE _ The monthly meeting of the executive of the Dunedin Returned Soldiers’ Association, held Inst evening, was presided over by Mr P. S. Anderson. Eight new members and four honorary members were nominated. There was a discussion on the position of trustees, in regard to whom the opinion was expressed that they should from time to time afford the association an opportunity to confer with them. On the motion of Mr A. C. Laing, it was decided to inquire from the trustees living outside Dunedin whether it was their desire to continue in office. A committee, consisting of Messrs Harrhy, Massey, Paterson, and Laing, was set up to mako all arrangements regarding the Returned Soldiers’ Association stand at the Big Exhibition, and to interview intending exhibitors. To discuss the reasons for the nonappointment 'of a returned soldier who had applied for the position of caterer to the club a deputation waited upon the executive. A motion to admit the Press uiiriug the interview was lost, and the matter was dealt with in committee.
