There are now seven cases of infantile paralysis in Christchurch, all under treatment' in tho hospital. Three have occurred in one neighborhood. Christchurch city, 1. Otago, 0. AUCKLAND’S TOTAL. Three cases of infantile paralysis were reported to-day, two being from the city and one, fro.m Hnnterville. " EXTENSION OF CHILDREN’S TICKETS. AUCKLAND. January 23. Regarding the extension of children’s holiday excursion tickets owing to the schools remaining closed on account of infantile- paralysis, the Hon. J. G. Coates (Minister of Railways) said to-night that lie thought there would lie no trouble about- an extension. The matter had not previously been represented to him, but lie would look into it.
