The attention of amateur runners i drawn to an advertisement in this issu of four sports meetings to be held ii Southland during the Christmas holidays The Invercargill Amateur Athletic Clu' has arranged to have amateur events o: the programmes at these sports bodies fo the first time, and it is hoped that a larg number of Dunedin runners will make th trip. Intending competitors can leav Dunedin by the first express on Christina Day and will arrive at Edendale in tim for the first race. Entries close definitel at the Sports Depot on Friday next. The Post Office advises that mails whici left Wellington on November 11 for Lon don via San Francisco arrived at their des filiation on December 9.
