ST. MATTHEW’S CHURCH
JUBILEE -CELEBRATIONS FINISH. The jubilee celebrations of St. Matthew's Church were brought to a close yesterday. On Saturday a picnic was held at Forbury Park, ami was attended by upwards of 3GO people. Every child who competed in the races run in the morning was the recipient of a toy. The convener and organiser of the picnic, Mr W. J. Ingram, was assisted by an efficient committee composed of Mesdames Ingram, Mitchell, Spinner, Knight, Cook, and Sykes. In the afternoon the large sports programme was watched by an interested gathering of parishioners and friends. Iho \en. Archdeacon Cnrzon-Siggers and Mrs Siggevs, the Rev. 1. L. Richards, the Rev. 0. Moreton, and the vicar (the Re-v. W. Hamblett) attended in the afternoon. The following were the results of the races :

Tftlboys’s memorial prize) 1, Mabel Watson 2. Bible Class (Boys).—G. Pearce (winner of IV. T. Talboys’s memorial prize) 1, T. Neil 2. Teachers’ Race. —Miss Robinson 1, Miss Svkes 2. The concluding services were held in the church yesterday. Tho vicar (tho Rev. W. A. Hamblott) conducted the morning service and in the afternoon the Rev. I. L. * Richards addressed the children. Archdeacon Eitchett preached to a crowded congregation at the evening service.
