A QUEENSLAND STORM
TOWN SUFFERS SEVERELY. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, Australian and N T .Z. Press Association. BRISBANE, December 8. (Received December 8, at 11 a.m.) A cyclonic storm struck the town of Blackall, and did considerable damage. Trees were uphooted, and telegraph and telephone wires torn down. The Town Hail collapsed, and took with it part of tiie room of the Telegraph Office, which adjoined. Shops and offices in tho business part of tho toyvn were wrecked or unrooted. Several houses also fared badly. Tho electric lighting system was thrown out of order. Following the wind came torrential rain, which added to the disaster. Full details are not yet available owing to the lines of communication still being down.
