FUNDING DISCUSSIONS. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, December 5. (Received December 6, at 11.5 a.m.) The London report that the British Government is expected to address an inquiry to Washington asking for information regarding (he funding of tho French debt to the United States was received with marked surprise by the officials in close touch with tho debt situation. It is authoritatively stated that no intimation came from London or the British Embassy indicating that the London Foreign Office proposed to take such a step. It is also asserted that much of the agitation in the London Press expressing fear that the French will bo accorded more favorable terms than those allowed to Britain is unwarranted.—Router.
