DISARMAMENT PROTOCOL
COMMENT EN AMERICA. CHICAGO, November 20. The Chicago ‘Tribune's’ Washingotn correspondent says that Great Britain’s request for the postponement of consideration by the League of Nations Council of the Geneva Disarmament Protocol is viewed there as prophetic of future readjustments of the relationships among the world Powers being extremely favorable to America, The British action, says the correspondent, is regarded as indicative of a definite parting of the ways with Japan, and of a tendency on Britain’s part to defer to America’s attitude, influenced by an inclination on the part of the British dominions to line up with America in her controversy with Japam The British move, it is considered, will result in the postponement until 1926 of the Disarmament Conference proposed by the League of Nations, and perhaps will cause a complete abandonment of that project.
