ARTILLERY BAND
To-tnprrow afternoon the rotunda at St. Clair will be occupied by the Artillery Band. The conductor, Mr Evercd Franklin, has the bund in fine form at present in view, of the forthcoming contest to be held at Auckland next February. The band baa been practising assiduously of late. Included in the programme will be the, selections ‘ William Tell ’ (Simmer), ‘ Ernani,’ and ‘Bohemian G'irl ’; also 'two stirring ’contest marches in ‘ Twentieth Century ’ and 1 First Parade.’ A collection will bo taken in aid of the band’s contest expenses. ■
