FINANCIAL POSITION. Loyal .Prince of Wales Lodge, Port Chalmers, hud a good attendance at _ its meeting, N.G. Bro. Clark presiding. Two new candidates wore proposed for membership. A progressive euchre tournament organised by Per, See. Bro, Johnson was carried out. Bro. Thos. White (Loyal Albion) won the first prize, Bro. P. Herum being second. G.M. Bro. C. McDonald won tho minor prize. A vote of thanks was accorded Per. Sec. Bro. Johnson for his donation of prizes. Next meeting being for tho nomination of officers, a, good attendance is anticipated. Responses to the visitors’ toast were made by Loyal Centenary, Albion, and Dunedin Lodges. Loyal Cromwell Lodge meeting, presided over by N.G. Bro. Hayes, was marked by a large attendance. A question box formed tho programme of the evening’s entertainment, some useful and amusing matters being discussed. The old question “Should bachelors he taxed?” came in for a large share of attention, and “Is the use of chewing gum beneficial?” caused much amsucnierit. It was decided to pay an official visit to Roxburgh on December 13. Tho ladics’ night, held on November 2, was largely attended, nine tables entering for the euchre tournament. Afiss M. Bell proved tho winner, and Bros. G. Stumbles and J. Robertson also won prizes. The evening concluded with, two hours’ (Inuring. Mr Wheeler (Cromwell) and Bro. Mitchell (Loyal Valley) supplied (he music, and the services of the latter, a well-known Dunedin artist, wine especially appreciated.

Loyal Centenary Lodge met in Fnrhury School Gymnasium, N.G. Bro. Corbett presiding. Three, new members were initiated and one proposed for membership. Progressive euchre, was indulged in, the Prov. G.AB, Bro. IB Rosevear, donating Ihe prizes. 'The contest resulted in P.G. Bro. Boardmnn winning.

N.G. Bro. AVest presided over the meeting of the Loyal Dunedin Lodge, Tho lodge was in mourning in respect to the memory of the late Bro. M'Xany. A letter of sympathy was forwarded to (he relatives. ’Loyal 'Centenary Bodge was present in large numbers. One member was initiated and one proposed.^ A good attendance greeted N.G. Bro, Rn lit on at Hie last meeting of (ho Loyal Caversliam Lodge. An interesting report on the Juvenile Bodge was presented by P.G. Bro. J. Russell, and was listened to with interest. The officers reported on several visits made by their sister lodges. The lodge (hen held its final serial dance for the, season. These events are looked forward to hy members’ wives and friends, who roll up in good numbers. The dances have been particularly successful this season, and this final was no exception to the, rule.

Loyal Albion Lodge, presided over by N.G? Bro. T. AVhite, was we!! attended. Otic member was initiated. Nominations of officers for the ensuing term .were received. On moving the, re-election of the juvenile representatives, P.G. Bro. Stable laid stress on the good work done by them in tho past. The lodge decided to hold iK .summoned meeting on December 18.
