PRINCESS THEATRE

The chief attraction at the Princess Theatre this week is Clivalli's Miniature Circus, which serves to introduce some remarkably clever animal performers. The most sensational member of the troupe is “Sport,” a dog apparently gifted with telepathic powers. “Sport” barks out “ Yes ” or " No ” to a number of questions, and caps his performance by giving the numbers written on a slate by members of the audience. “ Clara,” the baboon, is the “ clown ” of the party, and her antics are highly diverting. Hartley and Wright, although in their fourth week, received a well-deserved ovation at the end of their efforts last evening. Ronald Knight and Sheila Brady present one of the most artistic turns on the programme; whilst Ford and Aldous are two others who meet with approval with their ultra-modern dances. Although the comedy is a little broad in places, 1 The Honeymoon,’ as portrayed by Fred M'Donald and Vera St. John, has tho merit of being extremely laughter-provoking. Don. G. Merle (magician) and Togo (the Japanese juggler) are others who contribute their share to a novel and entertaining bill. NEW GEO. STOREY REVUE CO. Next Monday will be a red-letter day for patrons of tho Princess Theatre. Not only will their favorite pabulusm. revue be restored to the hill, but it will be restored by Georgia Storey, a comedian than whom no revue mimic has enjoyed greater popularity in Dunedin. Immediately on the disbandment of tho Walter George Sunshine Players, in which company Mr Storey was chief comedian, the Fullers cast about organising a new hand of revuists to support tho popular George. A strong cast was assembled, mid throughout Australia George Storey’s New Revue Company has won golden opinions, and reaped a rich harvest. Mr Storey’s company includes Mabelle Morgan, Dulcie Milner, Ada Scaddan, Fred. Monument, Mark Erichson, Richard Butler, and Frank Haining, with a pretty and accomplished corps do ballet under Mss Dorrie Rider, and known as “The Delectable Six.” Mr Storey will produce absolutely new revues; the first, for Monday, being ‘The Men in Possession.’
