A match wan played yesterday on the Caledonian Ground between St. Patrick’s (Oaroaru) and a team from the Christian Brothers, and resulted in a win for the latter. The Oamaru boys kicked oil with the wind, and even play marked the first half, tho scores at half-time being;—Oamaru 6, Christian Brothers 3. On tho resumption of play Christian Brothers carried the play into their opponents’ twentyfive, where it remained during the greater portion of the second spell. In Hus spell Christian Brothers scored four tries, of which only one was converted. The final scores were:—Christian Brothem 17, Oamaru 6.
