PRISONERS SENTENCED

WELLINGTON. At the Supreme Court Ealfo Antonovich, found guilty earlier in the week of receiving stolen goods, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment. In the Supreme Court this morning Thomas Moody, for theft, -breaking, and entering, received three years’ imprisonment, and was declared an habitual criminal. Janies Joseph Boyce, on a like charge, received three years’ reformative detention. Walter John Chamberlain, for indecent assault on'a woman, was sentenced to seven years’ imprisonment, Mr Justice Adams remarking that he would impose exemplary punishment. Samuel M'Donald, for theft from a countryman, who was taken to a bach and doped, was sentenced to two years. Minnie Brown, for the theft of £l9 from a man, received three years’ reformative detention. Wilfred Roland Wilden, forgery and uttering, wag sentenced to three years, with two years’ reformative detention. Owen Patrick Brosnahan. for theft of a fur coat valued at £44, was sentenced to two years, and declared an habitual criminal.—Press Association.
