ECHO OF LAUSSANNE
LOED CURZON’S DENIAL.
LONDON, August 2,
Lord Curzon flatly denies the allegation made by Mr T. Johnston, a Labor member, during the debate in Die House of Commons on the Middle rsnst. on July 29, that he spent a considerable portion of his time when at the Lausanne Conference fighting on behalf'of British in terests in Mosul oil fields. “ There is not a word of truth in the Allegation,” declares Lord Curzon, in a letter to ‘Tire Times,’ in which he emphasises that ibis . attitude with regard to the Mosul question is perfectly well known, and that it was not even remotely connected with oil interests.
