AVeddel and Co., Ltd., dated London, 15ih inst., reading ns follows: —“Danish butter, 216 s to 220 s (202 s to 204 s last week); Now Zealand unsalted, 210 a to 2125; New Zealand salted, 200 s to 202 s (194 s to 1965); market firm. Cheese: White, 94s to 96s 1 96 sto 98s); colored, 92s to 94s (90s to 925); market quiet.” Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received 'the following cable from their head office, dated Loudon, August 15;—“Butter: Since our last wire prices are higher by 4b to 6s per cwt. Anchor is quoted at 2105.” GRAIN AND PRODUCE. Messrs Dalgoly and Co., Lid., i import : Oats.—Owing to paucity of offerings practically no business is passing in this market.- Bright, heavy samples, suitable for seed, are inquired for, and nominal quotations are ns follow : —A Cartons, 6s; B Cations, 5s 9d per bushel (.sacks extra). Wheat. —Fowl wheat is in very short supply, and some difficulty is being experienced in filling the keen demand. The value of good whole fowl wheat is round about 6s 6d per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.—Consignments front the North have eased, but merchants are bolding fair stocks, and values are on a par with late rales. Choice lines of southern-grown are realising tip to £6 10s per ton (sacks extra). Chaff.—Supplies have eased, but as feeders are holding fair stocks _ values have not altered. Prime quality is saleable at up to £8 5s tier ton (sacks extra), but medium and inferior is slow of sale at from £7 to £7 10s per ton. LONDON AfARKETS. Messrs Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cables from London, dated August lo : —” Butter ; Since onr last wire prices are 2s per cwt higher.” “ Seven hundred and ninety casks of tallow offered; 575 sold. _ .Market irregular.
