ABETTING YOUTH’S ESCAPE
A FATHER CHARGED. (Psa United Press Association.] NAPIER, July 29. Edward George Melville was committed for trial on a charge, of assisting his son to escape, knowing the latter to bo guilty of the crime of incest. It was stated during the hearing that one daughter of the accused gave birth to one illegitimate, and another daughter tn three children, and the police contended that the son was responsible for the births, and was assisted to flee the country. He is believed to be in Australia.
