GRAIN AND PRODUCT.. Messrs Donald K«id and Co., Ltd., report:—Oats: The market is very firm, with very little offering. We quote: A Gartens, Tis 4d; B Cartons. Ss 2d (sacks extra). Wheat: Samples are very rare, and the demand is in excess of tho snpply. We quote: Best whole fowl, 6s 9d per bushel (sacks extra). Chaff: Values have hardened again. Chaff is coming on the market, both from Southland and Invercargill, and the bulk is being sold ex truck. We quote: Prime, £3 10s per ton (sacks extra). Potatoes: The, market has hardened somewhat, but values remain at last week’s rales. Wo quote £6 to £6 15s per ton (sacks in). LONDON' MARKETS. Messrs Dalgety and Co. report haring received the following cable from head office, London, dated June 20Butter market firm. Total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for May this year were 581,000 cwt, for May of last year 641,000 cwt. Wo quote: New Zealand, salted, 178 s per owt; New Zealand, exceptional brands, 180;; per cwt; Danish, 184 s per cwt; finest Australian, salted, 176 s per cwt; finest Australian, unsaltcd, 180 s per cwt. Cheese market quieter. New Zealand, white and color, 90s, white preferred. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., has received the following cable from London, dated 20th inst. :—New Zealand frozen meat; No alterations. There arc large supplies, but tho demand is steady. Cheese: Prices are a little easier.
