10 .CHE EDITOR Sir -With your permission I would like to inform your correspondent that Lake Waihola was not shot over on Pastor Sunday nor at any time previous to the opening day. Perhaps your correspondent will tell us whore he got his information. Some of tho shoot-isis got poor bags certainly, but the Ist was not a favorable day for shooting. Again, a “poor bag" is often obtained by using bad cartridges, taking poor cover, and by being a bad shot. There is plenty of sport to bo had here yet, and I shall be only too glad to give any assistance to sportsmen willing to adve a day to tho sport, but not to those who want- birds -and no sport.—l am, etc., J- R.
