CLAIM AGAINST BUILDER
The case in -winch Catherine Shand claimed from Herbert James Xaumann U 29 15s 6d in connection with a building contract was continued on Monday afternoon, when Mr C. J. L. White opened the defence, and criticised discrepancies in tho evidence for the plaintiff. Counsel then called evidence to show that Naumann was to get 10 per cent, commission, plus discount and wages, also to show that it was customary in the building trade to receive 10 per cent, commission and wages. The witnesses examined were Watson Rhodes, Orr Campbell, Eric Rowley Jory, and James Ernest Jarvis. Defendant’s evidence was also partly taken, the case then being adjourned sine die for the evidence to be completed.
