The Labor campaign in Natal has opened. .Messrs Cresweil and Boydell addressed a crowded meeting in the Durban 'Town Hall.
Air Uroswpll, in milling the Labor programme, said that nuexorcised mining rights must revert to the Slate, Ho urged the prohibition of the importation of contract labor, t.be application of (he land tax to companies which locked up huge tracts of land, and the establishment of a Stale Ban];, to which the Nationalists were pledged. Both Air Creswell and Air Boyd ell defended the pact with the Nationalists, Air Boydell declaring that it would enable (he people to safeguard the. British connection and* at the same time provide an alternative Government. He said lie did not blame the Smuts Government for minor mistakes, but because it was not proving true to big issues in South Africa and was pandering to the financial interests. — Reuter.
