RIFLE SHOOTING

Error v, dune-din. The annual match between the Dunedin and Kiwi Defence Rifle Clubs was fired on the Kiwi range cu Saturday afternoon. The weather was very hot, and a strong, gusty head wind proved very troublesome, especially at the longer ranges. The scoring was below the average for these two dubs. Rifleman R. Gillick was the highest scorer for Kiwi with, a well-earned 92. ■ Rifleman 0. Moss was .highest scorer for Dunedin with a good score (on the day) of 89. Rifleman W. 'Crimp, with 34 at 300yds and 33 at 500yds, shot brilliantly, considering the conditions, but Ruled to get going at 600yds, Kiwi secured a load at 300yds and 500yds, but fell away at SOOydia, finishing 34 in front of Dunedin. Deputy-president J. Gillan and President F. Sdlvius spoke on behalf of their respective clubs. Conditions: Seven shots at 300yds, 500yds, and 600yds; twelve men a side; two lowest counted out. Results! —Kiwi.—
