An Auckland Press Association telegram states that the annual conference of the New Zealand Native School Teachers’ Association commenced this morning. There wero representatives present from various parts of the dominion. Mr M'Farlano (president), in his opening address, remarked on the difficulty of maintaining the leaching staff, which, bad dropped from 128 to 99 in 12 months.
