(Received 'January 15, at 11.10 a.m.) The Press is paying tributes to the score of Kippax. It is suggested in some quarters that he would have passed Duff’s State record if he had had a partner to hold the other end. He went in second wicket down on Saturday, and saw all his subsequent colleagues go except Everett, the last man. As the tail-enders disappeared he took extra risks, with the inevitable chances. The catch in the slips by "Whitty which dismissed him was a magnificent one, the fieldsman hurling himself at full length on the ground on his back to capture the ball. luppax gave a finished, alf-round-the-wicket display, his late cutting being an especially, favorite shot.
