PROPERTY SALES. Messrs Park, Reynolds, Ltd., offered at auction to-day on account of tho District Public Trustee, a house of five rooms, No. 608 King street, ' opposite North Recreation Reserve, with freehold 11.3 poles, and after good competition it was sold to Airs Douglas for £720. Another property, No. 26 Cuttcn street, in the estate of the lato Thomas Spence, with freehold section, 10.4 poles, reached £530, at which figure it was knocked down to Mr Edwin Thomas. Fowl Wheat.—Tho demand continues good, and any lines of good whole fowl wheat coming on the market are readily saleable at up to 5s Id per bushel, ex store. Chaff. —Prime oaten sheaf is inquired for, but medium and inferior quality is slow of sale. We quote; Prime oaten sheaf, £5 7s 6d; good to best feed, £4 to £4 15s; inferior, £2 to £3 10s per ton (sacks extra). Messrs Donald Reid and Co. report: Oats.—There is a strong inquiry from tho north, and prices have advanced accordingly. We quote ; A Gartons, 3s; B Gartons. 2s lOd; under grade from 2s (sacks extra). Wheat.—Milling quality is still accepted at ruling rates. Fowl "wheat is keenly inquired for. We quote: Good whole, 5s Id per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes are now off the market and rarely inquired for. Local-grown new ones are worth to 4d per lb, and North Island grown to 2d. Chaff.—Anything prime meets with ready sale; unfortunately very little prime is coming forward.
