Naval circles emphatically deny the landing of marines in Canton. The British and French admirals paid a brief visit to Canton, but whether they saw Sun Yat-Sen is not disclosed. The latter certainly is unlikely to carry out bis threat to annex the Customs buildings in the presence of an iiiiternoitional flotilla of nine gunboats.— ‘The Times.’
