LONDON, December 7. The Paris correspondent of ‘ The Times ’ says that France’s war scars would soon bo obliterated, as the restoration of the devastated regions was nearing completion. Already in four area.s 20,000 out of 22,900 factories destroyed or damaged by the Germans had been reconstructed, and 2,912,000 hectares of land restored to cultivation, representing 88 per cent, of the devastated agricultural districts. In addition 598,000 houses had been repaired. There remain 143,000 to bo rebuilt, but the normal population of the liberated regions had already been restored.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
