FOOTBALLER'S INSOLENCE

INCIDENT AT O.F.A. MEETING. “STUDIED INSULT TO ASSOCIATION” SAYS CHAIRMAN, A footballer named A. Fraser appeared before the executive of the Otago Football Association at last night’s meeting m connection with his alleged usd, on the playing field, of bad language. He took up an insolent altitude, and is to be asked to apologise to the executive at its next meeting. The referee (Mr Parfitt) of the match between Maori Hill and Taier'i related what had happened. Fraser (a member of the former club) had been cautioned "by bint for deliberate tripping. He had later used bad language, for which he (tho referee) had ordered him from tho field.

A motion that the player be heard was lost bv 5 votes to 5.

-Mr J. Deuchrasa moved that Fraser bo suspended, for the rest of the season on the obscene language charge. Mr R. Brown seconded the motion, which was carried.

Other motions involving suspension of the player for varying periods, and one that Fraser be suspended until the end of the 1925 season and ordered off all grounds controlled by the 0.F.A., were lost. It was noticed that two or three filembers were not voting. Sventually a proposal from Mr Brown that the player be asked to apologise to the executive at its next meeting was carried.
