Mr Walter Fuller, general manager of tho Fuller interests in New Zealand, camo to Dunedin by this afternoon’s express. Tho Hon. D. T. Fleming was a passenger by tho express this morning, bound for Wellington. Air 1L W- Jones left to-day for Wellington. Messrs E. Cameron, W. Grey (Milbnrn), and \V. L. Wood (Mosgiel) proceeded to Christchurch this morning. Mr A. S, CoQkson loft by the express for Christchurch , to-day. Mr J. Phillips went by the'express this morning, bound for Wellington. Air T. O’tihca left for Wellington this morning. Yesterday morning tho pupils of Form V.C, Boys’ High School, presented Mr A. C. Aitkcn, who is about to leave for Edinburgh, with a suitably inscribed wallet, at the" same time expressing their gratitude and appreciation of his excellent work in their class room. Air Aitkcn replied in a suitable manner, thanking 1 He* form and complimenting it on its work. Commander C. Collignon, of the steamer El Kanlara, recently at Wellington, saw considerable service during tho war, being in command of the trooper General Voyaon. Ho was torpedoed in the Mediterranean., and was awarded the medal of the Legion of Honor by the’ French Government.
Mr W. Morion (Wellington), Mr A. IT. Mackrell (Invercargill), Mr T. W 7. I’apley (Wellington), and Mr H. J. Topliss I Inchbourne) are amongst the new guests quartered at tho Grand Hotel. Airs Ogilvie, tho wife of Mr Charles Ogilvio, manager of Messrs Death and Co., Ltd., of Christchurch, died yesterday morning. Airs Ogilvie was trained in Wellington as a hospital nurse, but married as soon as she had completed her training. After her marriage she resided in Feudal ton. film leaves a family of live little children.—Our Christchurch correspondent. Among the guests staying at tho Excelsior Hotel are Air and Alts 14. AH Donald (Invercargill), Mr W. 0. Harry (Tima.ru), Air F. Jacobsen ('Wellington), Messrs W. P. AHKay, IT. Masey, and S. A, Morton (Christchurch), Air A. Brown (Invercargill), Alisses AI. O’Aleeghan and N. Nattier (Timaru), Aliases E. Murdoch, L. Duncan, A!. AHlntnsh, AI. Morrison, A. Thorpe, and A. Jones (Invercargill). Mr J. F. Meade, first-class warrant oßlcer, lias resigned from the Defence Force and taken a partnership in a Dunedin business. He was an Imperial Army man, and served for twelve years in tho New Zealand Force, and will be favorably remembered by many who had business at (he Kensington Drill Hall during and since the Great War.
Mrs J. 0 Arhiickle, who ilied at Musselburgh on Satuidav. surviving her husband only three weeks, was a daughter of Mr Hon on Bastings, one of our welllinown public men of the last generation.
