The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received a cablegram from its head office in London announcing the death on the 19th inst of Mr Warrington Lning, who has occupied the position of chairman of the London directorate during the past eleven years. Ho visited New Zealand in 1920. —Wellington Press Association telegram. A Mastorton Press Association message states that the death occurred suddenly this morning of Mr Bland Raynor. a well known Lincoln and Romney sheep breeder. He was a prominent exhibitor at dominion shows.
Staying at the Excelsior Hotel are Professor F. Webb (Christchurch), Miss M. Maude (Gore), Mr J. S. Varcoe (Cromwell), Mr A. Nieholls (Wanganui), Mr F. Jacobsen (Wellington), Mr A. Mitchell (Christchurch), Mr IT. Shackleford (Auckland), Mr A. Salt (Christchurch), and Mr J. Eden (Timaru). Among the guests at the Oban Hotel to-day are Mx W. A. Wauchop (Christchurch), Mr A. Kennedy (Timaru), Mr J. Cameron (Invercargill), Mr A. Hawker (Wellington), Mr G. W. Kent (Oamarn), Mr J. Smith (Wairio), and Mr A. E. Shivers (Wellington).
