LONDON, July 19 The Strike Committee in London odicially announces that an appeal Las been made to other unions for funds. It declares that if the strike continues practically all the men at tho Surrey, Commercial, and Tilbury docks will be idle.
Notwithstanding the sinners* optimism, the officials of the Transport and General Workers’ Union believe that there will soon ho a general resumption of work. The Liverpool dockers have decided to return and this is expected to have a po.vei iui inilueiii-e on the attitude of Lie Londoners.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
