(Received April 30, at 1 a.m.) The ‘ Sunday Express ’ says : “ Sir Persy Cox, during a farewell banquet at Bagdad, foreshadowed that the British occupation in Mesopotamia would last for four years longer. He dcdai ed that lie could not speak for the Government, except to state that peace with Turkey was essential. He had no doubt that the British would stay until Mesopotamia could stand alone in a state of ultimate independence, which would be finally achieved in four years."—A. and N.Z. Cable.
