OTAGO WOMEN’S CLUB.

"AT HOME.” Over ICO ladies wore present on Wednesday afternoon, when Her Excellency Lady Jellicoo was tendered a welcome by the president and executive of the chib. The large reception room was beautifully decorated with howls of llowers and autumn foliage. During the afternoon a string band, composed of members under the leadership of Mrs 11. do C. M'Arthur, played several items, and songs were rendered by Mesdamcs W. Evans and S. Wilson. Her Excellency, wiio wore a nigger brown satin and georgette frock beautifully beaded, and golden bro.vji hat. with paradise bud feather, was received by the president (Airs Eindo Ferguson), who wore pink Shantung silk heavily embossed in white, large brown velvet hat, with bowing embroidered veil and brown furs. Ehe expressed the pleasure of the members that they had once again the honor of meeting Lady .ledicoe, Mrs E. Theuinin, on behalf of the (la.V.ening Circle, presented an exquisite bouquet of violets, tiny purple violas, and terns.

Another distinguished visitor was His Excellency Prince Khrinank f>. Gaekwad {brother of the Gaekwar of Baroda). Among those prevent noticed were Mesdames Rattray (weaving black satin with touches of starlet, large picture hat of black with Huffy ospreys, rich fursi, Mrs Edmond (black frock embroidered with royal blue, black velvet hat with royal blue feathers, ermine fins), Mrs M'Kihhin (rust-colored velour frock beaded with lilack, smart black hut), -Mrs Dourly (black and white frock, large black hat with white feathers!. Mrs U'Neiti (navy coat frock embroidered with grey, small blue-and-grey hat), Mrs W. Evans (dove grey coat frock of gaberdine, with softly frilled collar and culls, neat dove grey hat to match), Mrs S. Wilson (navy cloth coat frock with side panels heavily embroidered in cerise, small bine hat with cerise quills to match), Mrs M‘Arthur (brown silk foulard, small brown hat), M.J E. Theornin (black cloth afternoon frock with touches of royal blue, smart hat to match), Mrs Sclierek (saxc bine crepe tie morocain with front panel beaded in cerise, large black picture hat), Mrs Theornin, son. (navy coat and skirt, neat toquo of blue, rich furs), -Mrs Wakefield Holmes (frock of black silk embroidered with gold, large black hat), Mrs Carmalt Jones (mole charmeuse, black hat), Mrs (Dr) Cameron (mule coat and skirt, and neat hat also of mole), Miss Beadel, Christchurch (saxc blue knitted silk frock, mole hat), Mrs J. 13. Chilian (navy frock, black hat, furs), Mrs (Marshall Macdonald (navy blue costume, the long coat carrying -heavy collar and cuffs of fur, small hat of blue silk embroidered, turned back with fur edging, Hewing heavily-trimmed veil).
