BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT
SOLDIERS AND WAR DISABILITIES. [Special 10 the ‘ Star.’] OAMARU, April 20. In reply to a deputation from returned soldiers this morning, Mr Massey promised that the benefit of the doubt would be given to men to whom the doctors would not give a certificate that their disabilities were due to war service, or otherwise. _ _ , “ The financial position is better, he said, “and if I get out of this with an extra £50,000 I will be satisfied.”
