The Government figures on fish shipments into rind from Seattle show that Seattle handles more fresh and canned fish than any other port in America. The business from all sea products, including fresh canned, salt, mild cured fish, crabs, ovsters, fish fertiliser, whales, etc. is greater than the business of combined hah ports of eastern coast of Scotland m England. The port lias facilities to store 2,1a0,000 cases of salmon at one time. Four-fifths of the annual catch of Alaska and Puget Sound salmon, averaging about 4,500 car loads, is shipped to Seattle and. adjoining Puget Sound ports. Cannery boats are now being outfitted, crews recruited, and supplies assembled for a 1925 salmon pack approximately equal to that of last year.
