THE DRUG HABIT
HOLD IN SYDNEY. Press Association—By Telegraph-Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Press Association. SYDNEY, April 20. (Received April 20, at 10.15 a.m.) The ‘Daily Telegraph,’ in _ a special article urging the need, of tightening up the legislation against the sale of drugs, savs: “Although it is denied by the pharmaceutical profession that the drag t-iailic is increasing in Sydney and constitutes a menace to the health of the community, there is little reason to doubt that such traffic exists in dark and secret places, and that there are many unfortunates in our midst whose lives have been blighted by it. Inquiries disclosed no great difficulty in obtaining doucs of morphia or cocaine in certain quarters of the city.”
