The mayor (Mr Gimson) stated at the City Council meeting that, on his initiative, the Citizens’ Committee was formed and is co-operating with the council to make recognition of Mr Massey’s services to Now Zealand and the Empire- Tho date suggested is May 24, and the presentation is proposed of a citizens’ address in Albert Park at midday, and a reception in the Town Hall at night.
