Parcels of Westport Coal shares changed hands at 40s, 3!Js lid, 39s lOd, and 39s 9d, the market closing with further buyers at 39s Bd, and sellers at 39s lid. Waihi had sales at 28s (id, 28s 9d, and 295. There was further inquiry at 295, with sellers at 29s 3d. Huddart, Parker (ord.) shares were turned over at 41s. Bank of New Zealands, after sales yesterday at 60s (id, firmed still more, and were inquired for at 61s 3d, sellers demanding 62s 3d.
