THE CITIZENS 1 LEAGUE.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—Your correspondent “ Critic, 1 in yesterday’s issue, confesses perplexity at the activities of the Citizens 1 League, and is apparently considerably perturbed thereat. According to “Critic,” “ our democratic community resents the autocratic interference of the league.” May I inform “Critic” that, in spite of the league, he may vote as he wishes? For the twelve vacancies in the council there are twenty-five aspirants, and “ Critic,'’ being a very irate democrat, can support his ardent democracy by voting for the other thirteen.—l am, etc., Peuto-Democeat.
