BOTH SIDES BUSY. MR MASSEY’S MOVEMENTS. [From Our Own- Reporter.] OAMARH, April 19, Tntercst in the by-election has been increased by last night's meeting, which was one of tiro " rowdiest ” ever held in Oama.ru. The Prime Minister it continuing a vigorous campaign throughout the electorate, and speaks this afternoon at Five Forks, and to-night at Ngapara. During the next few days ho will address meetings at Hampden and other places. This moraine- Mr Massey visited the Waitaki Boys’ High School, where ho was welcomed by the rector (Mr F. Milner), and witnessed a parade of 300 boys under Colonel Young. in the course of a short speech, he referred to the record of "old boys’’ in tho war, and complimented the school upon the fine type of boy produced, Tho Liberal-Labor candidate, Mr Macphorson, is also busv with his campaign. Nightly he Is addressing meetings at eountry places, and will probably speak at Oaraaru next week. Shown on the windows of bis committee rooms are large facsimiles of the disputed voting papers, which are viewed with interest by many, The Prime Minister returns to Christchurch on Tuesday to take part in laying the foundation stone of the Bridge of Remembrance there.
