MAIDS OF HONOR
A jewelled miniature of the Queen, pinned to the left shoulder, is the “ on duty ” badge worn by Queen Mary’s maids of honor. The Queen has only one maid at present, Miss Ursula Lawley ; but, now that the Court has returned to Loudon, the appointment of one or two more—the prescribed number is four—may be made. Out «f town, the maids of honor live with the Itoyal Family, but in town they arc expected to have houses of their own and to attend at the Palace in time for lunch. A royal carriage conveys them thither.— From our correspondent.
