ELDERLY MAN’S SUICIDE

FAILING HEALTH. At about 7.40 this morning Janies William Jilsom, a married man, sixty-one years of age, residing with his family at Mansford, near Port Chalmers, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a villc. The body was found in the cellar of his home. The deceased had been in failing health for about a year, and had been attended by Dr Borne. Ho was formerly an engine-driver in the employ of the Union Steam Ship Company. An inquest will he held.
