ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
A TERRIBLE FATE. David Angus, a young settler, aged twenty-eight, was killed on Monday while driving a gig near Papakaio (North Otago). Deceased, accompanied by his brother-in-law, was going to see his'wife, who was in a maternity nemo in Oamam. The horse bolted, throwing both occupants out. Angus was then found to have expired, his body being terribly mangled. An inquest was held yesterday, when a verdict of accidental death was returned. DROWNED ON CHRISTMAS EVE.
