During' the height of a game for high baccarat stakes at Montpellier Gaming Hall at 2 o’clock in the morning the doors were thrown open, revealing two wildlooking Spaniards covering the company with revolvers and ordering “Hands up!” Simultaneously two other Spaniards who had been participating in the game stood up, levelling revolvers at the proprietor, who sprang to the entrance, but was shot down. Pandemonium ensued, and several players were shot or wounded. The bandits swept up the stakes and fled, but all were subsequently captured,— Reuter.
